The Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is a compact, robust vehicle for worldwide military use. Equipped with all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering and all-wheel brakes, it masters even the most demanding terrain.

It is ideal for loading and unloading 20ft containers, even in the tightest of spaces. The tuned chassis ensures high off-road capability and road speeds of up to 65 km/h suitable for convoys - naturally with the corresponding road licence.

Compact, powerful and reliable - the MHE combines mobility, manoeuvrability and versatility in one vehicle.

Special features ORION I

  • Transport and handling of loads up to 4 tonnes with forks and up to a maximum working height of 7,055 mm. Telescopic boom lift > approx. 3600 mm

  • Loading and unloading of 20-foot containers with Euro pallets or Big Packs.

  • Side and initial lift with a lifting height of 1,029 mm, enables loads of up to 1 tonne to be stacked in the second layer of the container.

  • Suspension system according to StVO standard, suitable for travelling at high speeds on roads.

  • Hydraulic suspension system for adjusting the ground clearance from 347 mm - 467 mm

  • Setting of various driving modifications:

    • On-Road mode (only drive up to 65 km/h)

    • Off-road mode (only driving up to 40 km/h)

    • Work mode (handling and driving up to 25 km/h)

  • Hydraulic power steering Front and rear axle steering with different steering modes:

    • Front axle steering

    • All-wheel steering

    • Crab crawl steering

  • 500 mm fording depth to overcome water obstacles.

  • Air transportable, compatible with the Airbus A400M.
